Faith works recovery update/trajectory
Just a few plans and reflections for our post this week
Introduction
Recently, I got hired for a new position. So, I’ve been busy doing onboarding while reflecting on the evolution of this blog going forward. Instead of doing the usual guidance or how-to posts, it seemed natural to share with those engaged with this platform the projections for how it may evolve as things progress.
We’ll go over plans, maybe some ramblings, and leave it at that. Thanks for sharing this space with me. May the force be with you.
Plans moving forward
Currently, I’m focusing on overcoming my nicotine addiction. I recently bought a book on the subject, and it’s really changing my perspective on the whole process. My hope is that once I’ve read the book, I’ll be able to begin healing from that. It has multiple reviews of others who have successfully overcome their nicotine with the process laid out in that book, so wish me luck.
If that goes well, my discernment should theoretically be much more engaged. So these plans are quite tentative, and are subject to change should I be successful at overcoming nicotine soon as I have many other substances.
With this new position, I plan to really invest into this blog/newsletter and use it as a vehicle to serve the recovery community. It takes time, effort, and resources to create and manage this project, so my hope is that eventually I can help others overcome their addictions for a living. At least for a while. I have other projects I’d like to do to serve the community too, but this is part of my calling as far as I can tell.
So, expect polls and curated content around offers that can best serve this community. Things like nicotine-quitting gum or courses on overcoming addiction, for example. I want it to be things that actually help you guys with your problems here, not just random affiliate offers that aren’t related to helping you. Not saying I won’t occasionally promote affiliate offers, but if I do then they will almost certainly be something that would make sense for you to be helped by.
If it takes longer to break free from nicotine than I hope, then this project may just be a bit slower to uptake or I may shift to focusing more primarily on religion/spirituality and/or mental health more generally. They’re all related, as far as I’m concerned.
If you have any suggestions on how you’d like to see this project change moving forward, please feel free to comment and/or reply to the email sent out. Cheers.
Ramblings
Something that’s been giving me less anxiety lately is telling myself I’m thankful that things work out better than expected. It reminds me of a quote that I think is attributed Marcus Aurelius, but I unfortunately can’t find the exact quote I’m thinking of. Maybe I can edit this part if I see it again.
Either way, our fears rarely materialize, and almost never to the extent to which we imagined them in our minds. Reminding myself of that has done wonders for my mental health, so hopefully it helps someone else out there.
We’re living at a pivotal point in history, with the potential for World War 3. But, I’d like to hope that it’s moreso birthing pains for the next Golden Age.
May Jesus Christ of Nazereth, Yeshua Hamaschiach, return soon; whether a physical manifestation, or at least in all our hearts and spirits so that either way we may all live in the new Heaven and New Earth.
Conclusion
This is a shorter post than usual due to my onboarding and focusing on personal development with my own trials. I have my next post to help this community planned, I just have to sit down and actually create it. Hopefully I can do that for next week’s update, Lord willing.
Until then, take care, may God bless you, and may things ultimately work out for your greatest good.
Now we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
